A reminder that Brownwood City Hall and other non-emergency facilities will close tomorrow, Friday, July 3rd.

The Landfill and Recycling Center will be open Friday, July 3rd and will be closed Saturday, July 4th. The Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center and Wiggins Pools will be open Friday, July 3rd with adjusted hours on Saturday, July 4th. The Lehnis Railroad Museum and Visitor Center will be open both July 3rd and 4th. Regular operating hours will resume Monday, July 6th.

Weldon Watkins, Sanitation Operator I, has been awarded a challenge coin by the Public Works Superintendents in recognition of his outstanding service to the City of Brownwood. Challenge coins are a tradition in many organizations, given to honor exceptional achievement, service, and commitment to core values.
