Yesterday, the Bruce American Legion, Earl J. Conley Post 268, awarded Korean War veteran Frank “Otto” Tiegs, with an Honorary Life Membership for his 65 years of continuous membership in the American Legion and Earl J. Conley Post 268.

October 1st the Bruce Red Raiders will take on the Flambeau Falcons. Both teams would like to invite our local Hometown Heroes to the game for a special recognition at halftime to say thank you for your service not only to our country but our county. Kick-off is at 7 pm. So please spread the word to local Military, veterans, National guard, VMA, police, firefighters, first responders, etc. We want to have a night whereas a community we say thank you for all you do! I'll be playing the soundtrack at the game.

This week our post lost one of our long standing members and fellow veteran, Art “Bunny” Ryall.

We are all so happy that Art got to participate as a post member one last time this year, in the Blue Hills Fest parade, riding in our post’s newly updated Legion car.

Thursday afternoon at the Bruce Federated Church, Earl J Conley Post 268 will be giving him one last honor, a well earned military salute.
