Located in the northeastern corner of Butler County we provide Fire-Rescue and EMS Services to the citizens, businesses and visitors of the area. Our primary first due response area includes: Bruin Borough and Parker Township in Butler County along with portions of Perry Township in Armstrong County. Additionally we also have primary mutual aid response areas which include: Fairview Borough, Karns
City Borough, Petrolia Borough and portions of Fairview Township and Washington Township in Butler County; Foxburg Borough and Perry Township in Clarion County; Emlenton Borough in Venango County and Parker City and Hovey Township in Armstrong County. Our first due & mutual aid response areas are comprised primarily of small residential communities along with small businesses, farms, mines and oil & gas wells. Located in the prime marcellus shale area the oil & gas industry has began to expand with the development of new well sites. The area also includes multiple large industrial facilities including: Energy Transfer's Galaxy Compressor Station & Revolution Pipeline System, Calumet Penreco Refinery, Sonneborn Chemical Refinery and the Inspec Chemical Corporation. Along with that the area is served by the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad and various chemical and bulk transportation companies. Multiple recreational areas attracting many visitors are also located in the area including: PA State Gamelands, North Country Hiking Trail, Bear Creek, Allegheny River, Clarion River and the Allegheny River Bike Trail.
