The Connect Glynn Educator Externship application deadline is soon!

Step outside the classroom and into the workplace through the Connect Glynn Educator Externship Academy. This unique professional learning experience pairs educators with local businesses and industries, providing valuable real-world insights that enrich classroom instruction while strengthening school-to-career partnerships across Glynn County.

Up to 30 educators will be selected for the 2026 academy. Applications are due September 11, 2026, and space is limited.

Our annual Woodside Invitational is coming up, and Team Registration and Sponsorship Opportunities are still available!

Join us for a great day of golf, networking and friendly competition at the Jekyll Island Golf Club. Businesses and community partners can now register a team or secure a sponsorship opportunity for this highly anticipated event.

The tournament will follow a four-person scramble format. Each player will hit from the tee, and the team will select the best shot. All team members will then play their next shot from within one club length of the selected location. Whether you are joining us on the course or supporting the tournament as a sponsor, this is an excellent opportunity to connect with local business and community leaders while showcasing your organization.

A special thank you to all of this year’s Woodside Invitational sponsors for supporting the Chamber and this signature event. Please join us in welcoming Nicole Summerlin, who joined the Chamber as our Events and Special Projects Coordinator!

A Golden Isles native, Nicole recently returned home after time in Atlanta and is excited to be back where she belongs. On weekends, you'll likely find her exploring downtown Brunswick, checking out local festivals, or roller skating along the walking trails.

Fun fact: Nicole once worked as a henna tattoo artist in the Village! We are excited to have her join our team and look forward to the creativity and enthusiasm she will bring to the Chamber and our community.
