(ONLY ENTER from Community Road via Nimitz Drive)

$5 per auto suggested donation

Load up your vehicle and drive thru the annual KGIB Electronics Recycling & More event, where volunteers unload your items and sort them to be recycled - NOT thrown into the landfill!

!! DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY !!!

ACCEPTED ITEMS:
~ prescription meds, including pet meds,;
~ scrap metal;
~ textiles (clean, usable textiles only);
~ batteries;
~ electronics.
~ $5 per vehicle suggested donation to KGIB;
~ $20 per TV fee to vendor, NO console or projection TVs;
~ $10 per CRT (chunky monitor) to vendor;
~ NO sensitive document shredding;
~ NO light bulbs or hazardous materials.

City of Brunswick Tire Amnesty Event Slated for City and County Residents: SEPTEMBER 23-26TH

The City of Brunswick will hold its second Tire Amnesty Event in September. Both City of Brunswick and Glynn County residents are encouraged to turn in their old vehicle tires for free from 8AM-2PM on September 23, 24, 25 and 8AM-NOON on September 26 (rules & regulations apply). The takeback area will be staged inside the City’s fenced lot at 821 Bay Street (corner of Prince & Bay Street).

There are strict parameters for the Tire Amnesty Event participation:

ALLOWED:
• Car Tires
• SUV Tires
• Light Truck Tires
• Semi Truck Tires

NOT ALLOWED:
• Commercial Tires
• Competitive Racing Slicks
• Farm Equipment Tires
• NO RIMS

REQUIREMENTS:
• City of Brunswick & Glynn County Residents ONLY
• Proof of Residence REQUIRED
• MAXIMUM 3 Tires per Vehicle
• Tires MUST be CLEAN & DRY
• Non-commercial Tires ONLY
• Tires accepted during stated dates/times ONLY
• All other tires left before or after will be treated as an illegal dumping violation

The Tire Amnesty Event is a City of Brunswick project with support from Glynn County Government and Keep Golden Isles Beautiful.

COLLEGIATE STYLE OUTREACH at CCGA

The College of Coastal Georgia's annual YardFest was a big hit even though the weather forced it indoors! KGIB was in the mix and enjoyed spreading the clean and green message, engaging students and offering super cool volunteer opportunities! What great conversations were had! It was awesome to interact with CCGA Difference Makers!
