Supervised visitations and volunteering info:

SUPERVISED VISITATIONS: Home To Home employees/volunteers are carefully screened however, may not be clinically trained. Home To Home supervisors do not provide documentation notes for each visit, however Home To Home does document if a parent or child cancels or no shows for a visitation, if the visitation does not go smoothly, or if any type of ab

use/neglect is observed. This allows Home To Home to provide service at a low cost of $35 per visitation hour for the visiting parent. Additionally, Home To Home offers a scholarship rate to any visiting parent who is on state assistance, SSDI or by special consideration of the Board of Directors reducing the cost to as little as $10 per visitation hour. Please note it is Home To Home's policy that only the visiting parent may attend the visitation ( other family members, mental health workers etc. The exception to this policy is if a guardian ad litem is assigned to the family and needs to attend the visitations to observe the child with their noncustodial parent for the courts. Visitations are available Monday-Friday, with limited Saturday hours and are based on the availability of Home To Home's staff and volunteers. Visitations are typically 1 hour in length but can be a maximum of 2 hours. VOLUNTEERS: Home to Home always welcomes new or returning volunteers to assist with our supervised visitations! Please contact our program coordinator at (207) 837-4894 for more information.

Visitation and Volunteer Info

SUPERVISED VISITATIONS: Home to Home employees/volunteers are carefully screened however not necessarily clinically trained and documentation of our visitation is limited to, the time and date of completed visitations, reasons for cancelled visitations, any incidents that occurred during a visitation including any abuse or neglect that is observed by either the visiting or non visiting parent. Limiting our documentation allows Home To Home to provide a critical service at a low cost of $35 per hour. Additionally, if the visiting parent receives SSDI, Maine Care or Food benefits the cost of our services can be significantly reduced through our scholarship program. Please note it is our policy that only the non custodial parents and their children may participate in our visitation program (we do not allow other family members, mental health workers etc. Exceptions are made for guardian ad litems ). Supervised visitations are available at an agreed upon time with one of our supervisors and can take place during the week or on the weekend. Visitations are usually for a duration of 1 hour at a time but can be a maximum of 2 hours. VOLUNTEERS: Home to Home always welcomes new or returning volunteers to join and serve on our Board of Directors and or to assist with our supervised visitations! The time commitment from our volunteers varies based on their personal availability. Board members are asked to attend a monthly meeting held at Mid Coast Hospital . Please email [email protected] for more information.
