If you've driven down the eastern part of Mansfield St recently, you may have noticed a change!

In partnership with the Brunswick Housing Authority, 1401 Mansfield St has been cleared of underbrush and trash.

One block from Glynn Academy High School and across the street from Glynn Villas, the land will be developed for first-time homebuyers.

Property in Progress

1701 Wolfe St is an uninhabitable residential heirs' property that has been tax delinquent since 2002.

With the assistance of the Glynn County Board of Commissioners and the Tax Commissioner, the Land Bank secured a deed for the property. The Land Bank board approved plans for the property to participate in the City of Brunswick Government's new housing program.

The city hopes to rehabilitate this property so it can return to the tax roll, provide a home, and improve the block.

While the property still has a long way to go, the Land Bank would like to give a big shout-out to the City of Brunswick's Planning and Public Works Departments for clearing the overgrown vegetation so we can begin the next steps towards making this house a home.

Project Highlight!

1700 Niles Avenue was one of the first projects undertaken by the Land Bank.

The property, which was tax delinquent, uninhabitable, and unsightly, has become productive on the tax roll and a credit to the neighborhood.

Since the project's completion, another home has been built on the same street, with a third currently underway.

We have some exciting projects in the works, so follow us to keep up with future endeavors and opportunities!
