Some roads have opened back up but quite a bit of I70 is still closed from US-40 (1 mile east of Deer Train, CO).

There are a lot of road closures south of I76 in eastern Colorado. I'd highly recommend staying home and watching some college football today. Don't drive unless you have to for work or emergency reasons.

Hello everyone Little Dawg 3 here, at 4:15 this morning I was on my way up to work between Brush and Fort Morgan on highway 34 and certain areas are slushy, but as a whole it's not terrible. More wet than anything. Never assume that it's completely clear though because there is always a possibility that there is black ice. Please drive slower, drive safe and the Big Dawg team will do our best to keep you guys updated throughout the day. Thank you and be safe!

Ice and snow accumulation can interfere with the proper operation of the gas meter given it needs to be able to release gas in case of a malfunction. Snow removal activities can also pose a hazard to the gas meter assembly or piping and result in a dangerous leak.

Follow these guidelines when removing snow and/or ice:
• Make sure whoever removes snow from your property is aware if your gas meter is near a sidewalk or driveway
• Use a broom – not a shovel – to clear snow from meter assembly and vents.
• If your gas meter is encased in ice, do not attempt to melt and/or chip the ice, as this could damage the meter. Allow the ice to melt on its own.
• Pay particular attention when moving snow on a commercial lot. Don’t pile snow around gas meters.
• Consider installing driveway entrance reflectors around gas meters if they’re close to a road or driveway.
• If you suspect a gas leak call 911 immediately.

This is a crazy way to look at the powerful low-pressure system that is centered over the Oklahoma Panhandle.

This is called Low-Level Water V***r and shows areas of little or no moisture (dark orange & brown) as well as high water content (bright blue, green, & white).

This is used to estimate lower-level moisture & to create products like total precipitable water & rain rate among other things.

You can see the classic comma shape of this low-pressure system.
