Hardy Weedon construction update 🚧:

Road widening is complete at the intersection of Hardy Weedon Road and State Highway 30. The intersection is open for traffic, and the detour is no longer in place.

However, due to material delays, the traffic signal planned for the intersection will not be installed until late summer. Drivers, please use the intersection wisely until the signal can be installed.

Once complete, the signal will provide safer access to and from Highway 30, since traffic has increased due to residential growth along Hardy Weedon.

Another new playground is open! Ages 2-5 have a new place to play at Ibarra Park.

Located at 1503 Saunders Street, the playground features age-appropriate climbing elements, interactive components, slides, a spring rider and an integrated shade canopy.

The new playground replaces a damaged playset, and is a great complement to the 5-12 age range playground already in the park.

ICYMI: a new playground is complete at Copperfield Park, and a new playground at Claude Scurry Park is scheduled to be finished in early April.

Find all our playgrounds using our Parks & Facilities finder, linked in the comments.
