📢 PUBLIC NOTICE: Alert86 Testing Begins with Our Monthly Outdoor Warning Siren Test! 📲
As part of our ongoing effort to keep Williams County residents informed, we're taking a proactive step: starting in September, we will send an Alert86 test message during our regular outdoor weather warning siren test, held on the first Monday of every month at 11:00 am.
This is just a test — no action is needed. It's designed to make sure our Alert86 notification system and outdoor warning sirens are both working together and information is reaching residents the way it should.
NOTE: You MUST be signed up for Alert86 Tornado Warnings to receive this test alert!
Beyond confirming the systems work, these monthly tests are also helping us build better notification options for the future — especially for pop-up storms that can develop quickly and strike with little or no advance warning. Strengthening this system now means faster, more reliable alerts to you when it matters most.
