Ahead of Father’s Day this Sunday, District Attorney Jarvis Parsons shared a powerful reflection in the June newsletter for the Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV). As a TCFV Board Member, DA Parsons is proud to support their statewide mission to protect survivors and end domestic violence.

The Brazos County District Attorney's Office will be closing on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 2PM and will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026 all day in observance of Juneteenth.

Regular business hours of our office and the Brazos County Courthouse will resume on Monday, June 22.

Brazos County offices will close at 2pm Thursday, June 18th, and remain closed Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.
Regular office hours resume Monday, June 22nd.

⚖️ COURT IS IN SESSION! ⚖️
​This past Saturday, the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office opened its doors (well, the College Station City Hall doors!) for our one-of-a-kind DA in a Day program! 🎬✨
​Ever wonder what actually happens behind the scenes of the justice system? We brought together a fantastic group—including local residents, defense attorneys, the District Clerk’s office, and community leaders—for an immersive, all-access pass into the daily dynamics of our office.
​Our "class" got a crash course on what it takes to seek justice every single day:
​🔍 The Starting Line: Intake Prosecutor Brian Price broke down the crucial world of Grand Jury proceedings and investigation work.
​🛑 Street Smart: The College Station Police Department "schooled" everyone on current drug trends in our area.
​💼 Deep Dive: Court Chief Kara Comte walked attendees through real-life case studies involving Brazos County child abuse.
​📱 Digital Footprints: Digital forensics experts Jonathan Eisenrich and Ken Sikes revealed the ins and outs of cell phone data and the hidden dangers of the digital world.
​👥 The Future: Savina Tapia shed light on how the justice system adapts to work with juveniles.
​An event this massive takes a village, and it was a massive success! A huge shoutout to our incredible High School Student Ambassadors and the dedicated DA’s office staff who worked tirelessly to put this together.

This week, the 361st jury sentenced Lonnie Donaldson to life in prison for Theft from the Elderly.

“This defendant used lies to steal the hard-earned money of our most vulnerable citizens for decades. This life sentence ensures he can never target an innocent victim again. Our office remains committed to protecting our seniors from fraud.”

Yesterday, the 361st jury convicted Lonnie Donaldson, Sr. of Theft Less Than $2,500 with Priors Against the Elderly. Punishment began this morning to the jury, who will also be determining punishment. Donaldson's punishment is enhanced to that of a habitual offender (25 years to life in prison) because of prior criminal history.
