Thank you to the United Way of Williams County for your continued support of our seniors! We are honored to be a part of this amazing group.

We’re so grateful for these amazing women who are exceptional leaders here in our communities!

Meet some of recipients of your United Way of Williams County 2027 funding. This year we focused on meeting immediate and necessary needs such as food, rent and utility assistance, medical equipment, and support for survivors of violence.

We listened to our communities and local agencies and the need in these sectors is growing everyday with many people struggling to remain in their homes, pay rising utility and food costs, and raise families in a safe and stable environment.

So, we made very difficult decisions to limit the total number of funded agencies and in turn focus more resources to help support each of these causes.

We are continually grateful for the trust placed in our organization by our donors because without them, the landscape of our communities would look much different, so thank you to everyone who contributed to our annual campaign, joined us at an event, or volunteered their time.

Yesterday was a perfect day for a Picnic at the Park. Montpelier seniors enjoyed having their lunch outside at Storrer Park. A huge shout out to our Montpelier kitchen staff. They are always so accommodating & willing to pack up our lunches.

OSHIIP is coming to Bryan Senior Center on Thursday, September 24, 2026 to do their Medicare Checkup Presentation.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2026 they will be in the Bryan Center to do the one on one with interested seniors.

We are so excited to partner with Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission to help keep our seniors safe. Thank you Bryan Area Foundation for investing in this program!

Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC) was awarded a $2,500 grant from the Bryan Area Foundation for their Staying Safe, Connected Seniors Program. While the use of technology for those over the age of sixty continues to grow, so has the possibility of being victims of fraud. An August 2025 Federal Trade Commission report documented a huge jump in financial losses reported by older adults who lost more than $100,000, from $55 million in 2020 to $445 million in 2024.

In partnership with the Williams County Department of Aging, the Williams County NOCAC office will use the money to help educate seniors, in either one-on-one or group settings, on how to stay safe online and what to do if they become compromised. The classes are to start this fall, continuing until next spring, and will be free for all participants.
