I would be honored to serve Bryan ISD parents, students, teachers, and the community as Bryan ISD Board of Trustee Single Member District Place 3. I want to work as a team with fellow Bryan ISD trustees to continue to build on the momentum that Bryan ISD has created and use my decades of professional experience in banking and finance to ensure that funds are wisely utilized to best serve the needs
of Bryan ISD students and employees. Three key focus areas:
Excellence in Academics: Fostering and creating a strong foundation for learning starts both at home and in the community. It's important to continue to enhance ways families can support their students while developing new pathways for families and supporters of all cultures, income levels and backgrounds to be an active part of their student's success. I'm grateful that, on behalf of Truist bank, I have been honored to shine a spotlight on remarkable Bryan ISD teachers and employees across the district. Continuing to invest in recruiting and retaining the best educators and professionals to serve students across all grade levels is crucial to the success of students and the community. Additionally, the gifts and talents of each student are unique and varied as are their hopes and dreams for the future. When students see and feel that all those around them value their unique gifts and assist them in seeing the ways they can use their special set of talents to achieve their dreams, remarkable positive change happens. There is immense value in continuing to invest in creating opportunities for each student to explore all potential post-graduate and career pathways in which they can be successful beyond their dreams. Excellence in Athletics: As a graduate of Bryan High and a parent of a D1 student-athlete, I firmly believe in the positive impact that athletics can have in creating opportunities for students to excel both in and out of the classroom. Student-athletes also have opportunities to learn valuable lessons and skills that can serve them in their professional and personal development. I want to ensure that smart investments are made to assist in putting Bryan ISD extracurriculars as well as athletic programs on equal footing with other programs in the area and state. The Power of Community: Through my long-standing commitment as a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley and volunteering with Junior Achievement, I have witnessed the positive power that community members and local businesses can have on the life of both students and families. I want to work to utilize the strong relationships I have with professionals and community members across the Bryan-College Station area to enhance and grow the meaningful ways they can invest in students in Bryan ISD. I also want to invite more local professionals and businesses to start or deepen the investment of their time, talent, and resources to mentor and share their knowledge and wisdom with students.
