Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment represent the very best of our country. We remember their actions, honor their sacrifice, and remain forever grateful. 🇺🇸

The Medal of Honor is the nation's highest military decoration for valor. Today, on National Medal of Honor Day, we honor the brave men and women whose extraordinary acts of courage and selflessness embody the very best of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Today, we celebrate Mary Ehiarinmwian who, in 2020, was recognized for extraordinary courage after stopping to rescue a driver whose vehicle had flipped and caught fire outside Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. A supply sergeant in the U.S. Army, she pulled the trapped driver to safety and stayed with him until first responders arrived.

Later that year, she was named Soldier of the Year by the USO, representing the Army for her quick thinking, leadership, and selfless service.

For 85 years, Reservists have stood Semper Paratus, Always Ready, protecting our nation and safeguarding maritime safety.
