Marilyn Bulkley Educational Legacy Fund

Dear Friends,

With profound sadness, I announce the passing of our cherished colleague, and friend Marilyn Bulkley. Marilyn passed away around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 4th, surrounded by her husband Russell, and five daughters.

Our hearts are heavy with grief as we try and understand the magnitude of this untimely tragedy. In the days and weeks ahead it will be difficult to endure the loss of her cheerful countenance and engaging smile in our lives. The Bryce Canyon Natural History Association (BCNHA) is a close knit family and will cling to the beautiful memories we have of Marilyn to help weather this challenging time.

Marilyn was a gifted educator and was at her best guiding students along the time-worn trails of Bryce Canyon, sharing her love of science in nature's classroom. Second only to her family and faith, was her passion for teaching. Through her example and enthusiasm, generations of students have realized their educational goals. In looking forward, BCNHA will remain engaged in preserving and enhancing her educational initiatives.

As such, I am announcing the establishment of the Marilyn Bulkley Educational Legacy Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to deserving students that are pursuing teaching as a career path. Donations can be made online at www.brycecanyon.org, or at any State Bank of Southern Utah location.

We will miss Mrs. Bulkley, as she is affectionately known by her many students, and send our thoughts and prayers to her beloved husband and family.
