Villanova is back in session, and it’s another Monday night drill at BMFC! 🚒📚

Last night, our crews put Ladder 23 and Engine 23 to work, sharpening the teamwork and skills needed to operate both trucks safely and efficiently.

Villanova is back in school! This week a few Bryn Mawr firefighters went to the Villanova involvement fair to recruit some new members.

Monday night’s drill focused on hydrant hookups—an essential skill for establishing a safe and reliable water supply at a fire.

While the ladder crew flowed from a handline, the engine crew connected to the hydrant. The hookup was completed before the ladder truck exhausted its onboard water tank, demonstrating the speed and coordination needed to keep water flowing when every second counts.

This past weekend, members of the Bryn Mawr Fire Company were proud to participate in the Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation’s (FBBCF) 39th annual “Ben to the Shore” bike tour. This event supports FBBCF’s mission to provide necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders.

Bryn Mawr Fire Company assisted at a serious incident in Lower Merion after a large tree fell onto a vehicle during the severe heat.

Our career staff and volunteers responded alongside our mutual aid partners to assist with rescue operations and scene safety. Thank you to all of the agencies whose teamwork made this response possible.

Congratulations to Firefighters Max Coyne and Chris Chesner on graduating from the Montgomery County Fire Academy and earning their Firefighter I certifications!

Completing Firefighter I in a single semester is a significant accomplishment that requires dedication, hard work, and countless hours of training. Max and Chris have demonstrated a strong commitment to the fire service, and we are proud to have them as members of Bryn Mawr Fire Company.
