swain.ces.ncsu.edu 4-H is a national youth organization that prepares young people to step up to the challenges in their community and the world. Young people who are a part of 4-H have the opportunity to explore all types of science, health, and citizenship programming delivered through 4-H clubs and camps,

as well as afterschool and in-school. In North Carolina, you can join 4-H if you are between the ages of 8-18. Some areas have special age-appropriate programs designed especially for younger kids. Check with Swain County Cooperative Extension office to find out what projects and activities are available for youth your age.

Have you been painting, sewing, woodworking, crafting, taking photos, or creating something amazing this year? Now's your chance to put it on display at the 2026 Swain County Agricultural Fair!

Your project will be proudly displayed during the fair, and you'll have the opportunity to earn ribbons and recognition for your hard work.

It’s almost time to kick off the 9th season of the Swain County Bullets & Bows 4-H Club!

Practice starts next week at the Alarka Range:

🎯 Monday, June 1 – Shotgun Practice at 4:00 p.m.
🎯 Tuesday, June 2 – Rifle & Archery Practice at 4:00 p.m.

In partnership with the Swain County Agricultural Fair, we want to invite youth to participate in creating a fun festive sticker design.

🏆 The winning design will become the official 2026 Swain County Agricultural Fair sticker and will be featured on our website, social media, and promotional materials throughout the coming months.
