The Haralson County Fire Department would like to congratulate Firefighter Trey R***r on successfully completing 11 weeks of rigorous firefighter training at Paulding County!

Throughout the academy, Trey demonstrated the dedication, determination, and hard work required to earn his firefighter certification.

Trey will officially begin his fire service career with the Haralson County Fire Department this Sunday, joining B-Shift!

We are excited to welcome Trey to the HCFD family and look forward to watching him grow throughout his career in the fire service.

On October 13, 2026, Haralson County Fire Department and Ambucare EMS responded to a report of a male patient trapped underneath a lawn mower.

The patient had reportedly been trapped for approximately two hours before being discovered by Haralson County School Bus Driver Autumn Dyer, Bus #17-1. Autumn quickly recognized the seriousness of the situation and contacted Haralson County 911 to request emergency assistance.

Upon arrival, HCFD personnel and Ambucare EMS worked together to safely extricate the patient and provide necessary medical care.

We would like to recognize Autumn Dyer for doing a fantastic job! Her awareness, quick thinking, and willingness to take action during an emergency are truly commendable. Her actions helped ensure the patient received the assistance he needed.

We would also like to recognize the outstanding teamwork and professionalism displayed by our HCFD crews and Ambucare EMS personnel. Their coordinated efforts during the extrication and patient care demonstrate the importance of training, teamwork, and cooperation between emergency services.

Situations like this are a reminder that you do not have to be a first responder to make a difference in someone’s life.

Thank you to Autumn Dyer, Haralson County 911, Ambucare EMS, and all responding personnel for a job well done!

🚨 WEATHER UPDATE – HARALSON COUNTY

The Haralson County Fire Department is currently experiencing a high volume of emergency calls due to the ongoing weather conditions, including numerous reports of downed trees and power lines throughout the county.

Our crews are actively responding to incidents, with emergency calls taking priority. Non-emergency calls are being addressed as personnel and resources become available.

⚠️ We ask the public to:

* Avoid unnecessary travel if possible.
* Never approach or drive over downed power lines.
* Use extreme caution around fallen trees and debris.
* Be patient as emergency personnel work through the increased call volume.

Please understand that response times to non-emergency incidents may be delayed. All calls are being evaluated and handled as resources become available.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as our personnel continue working to keep Haralson County safe.

Haralson County Emergency Management is monitoring Hurricane Isaias as it moves inland. While the current forecast shows the storm's center tracking through Alabama, weather impacts are expected well east of the center and could affect Haralson County.

At this time, the greatest impacts are forecast to arrive around 2:00 A.M. Saturday morning and continue through Saturday evening. Current forecasts indicate the potential for strong winds, heavy rainfall, brief spin-up tornadoes, localized flooding, and power outages.

Haralson County is currently under a Flood Warning and High Wind Warning through Sunday morning. Residents should be prepared for the possibility of downed trees, downed power lines, and difficult travel conditions during periods of heavy rain and stronger wind gusts.

It is important to remember that tropical system forecasts can and often do change. The exact timing, track, and impacts remain uncertain and may shift as the storm approaches. Residents should continue monitoring trusted weather sources and be prepared for changing conditions.

Now is the time to prepare. Charge electronic devices, secure outdoor items, review your emergency plans, and be ready for possible power outages. If using a generator, operate it outdoors and away from doors, windows, and vents.

Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings, especially overnight. Do not rely on a single source of information.

We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates as new forecast information becomes available.
