🌟 National Night Out – August 4th | 6–9 PM
Hosted by Buchanan Police & Area Emergency Services

Come out and meet the team that keeps our community safe. Bring the family, enjoy the evening, and be ready to get wet — the Big Red Truck will be at the top of the hill making it rain.

Kids and adults can explore the machines up close, meet the crews who run them, and of course… you’ll definitely spot the Big Red Truck.

Hello Buchanan City Fire will be conducting aerial and ground ladder training at Matea Court Apartments July 20

During this training, firefighters will be discussing concerns with tenants about how residents can be safely assisted off balconies in the event of a fire. This hands‑on practice helps our crews stay prepared and also provides reassurance to residents that we have effective plans in place for emergency situations.

Thank you to the Matea Court community for your cooperation as we work to keep everyone safe.

Michigan is currently under an Air Quality Advisory due to smoke drifting in from the Canadian wildfires.

If you do smell smoke and have a concern about a possible fire, please call 911 so it can be checked out immediately.
