Old Church on the Hill

Old Church on the Hill Historic landmark in Buckfield, Maine. Available to rent for weddings and events. Church services for several years, then as meeting place for area residents.

Built in 1831-1832, the Old Church on the Hill has been used for various functions. In 1861 War meetings were held, 1884 the first meeting in Buckfield in observance of Memorial Day, 1900 Old Home Week. In 1896 it was purchased from remaining members of the church by the Town for not more than $100. School was held here while the new High School was being built in 1928 (now Buckfield Town Office)
