What a great day at Sutton Elementary School!

Yesterday, our Executive Director, Evelyn Post, had the opportunity to participate in Career Day and share information about the important work we do at Central West Virginia Aging Services.

We would like to thank Sutton Elementary for inviting us and allowing us to connect with so many wonderful students. Career Day gives young people a chance to explore different career paths, ask questions, and begin thinking about how they can make a difference in their communities.

Many students are already familiar with the challenges that can come with caring for an aging grandparent or family member with a disability. We were proud to talk about how our team helps seniors and disabled individuals remain independent and receive quality care in the comfort of their own homes.

We also had a lot of fun handing out goodies and ending the day with a gift card raffle for a few lucky winners!

Thank you again to Sutton Elementary for the warm welcome. We appreciate the opportunity to invest in the next generation and share our mission of helping West Virginians age with dignity and independence.

A special thank you to Mrs. Evelyn Post from Central WV Aging for making our Career Fair even more exciting!

Mrs. Post held a special drawing for students during the event, and several lucky Mountaineers walked away with $25 Walmart gift cards. The students were thrilled!

We appreciate your generosity and your commitment to supporting the students of Sutton Elementary. Thank you for helping make our Mountaineers to Future Careers day such a memorable experience! 💙⛰️

We recently had the opportunity to sit down with WDTV for a special Business Talk segment featuring our Executive Director, Evelyn Post.

During the interview, Evelyn shared her passion for serving West Virginia’s elderly and disabled populations, the importance of quality in-home care, and the mission that continues to drive Central West Virginia Aging Services every day — helping individuals remain safe, independent, and comfortable in the place they call home.

For many years, Evelyn has been a strong advocate for seniors across our state, and we are proud to have her leadership guiding our organization and the families we serve.

Thank you to WDTV and the Aging Untold series for helping shine a light on the importance of compassionate in-home care in West Virginia.

❤️ Making a Difference, One Home at a Time ❤️

This past Friday, we had the privilege of helping one of our Case Management clients receive a new bed set and dresser through our Helping Hands charitable program.

Sometimes it’s the simple things—a comfortable place to sleep, a space to store your belongings—that can make the biggest difference in someone’s day-to-day life.

At Central West Virginia Aging Services, we believe care goes beyond the basics. Our Helping Hands program is here to fill in the gaps when our clients need a little extra support—whether that’s a mattress, bedding, toiletries, or other essential items.

We’re proud to be part of a community that looks out for one another. 💙
