Buckhannon Police and VIPS

Buckhannon Police and VIPS It is our vision to provide the community with professional law enforcement service while establishing lasting community partnerships.

This page is not monitored 24/7. For immediate assistance call 911 for emergencies. Founded in October 2014, the Buckhannon Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) assist the Buckhannon Police officers in various capacities within the city of Buckhannon. VIPS provide assistance with investigations, crowd control, traffic details, security checks, and various other tasks. While full members of the Buck

hannon Police Department, members of VIPS are not required to undergo identical training as the city officers. However as First Responders, VIPS members are required to receive training in First Aid and CPR, Community Emergency Response Training (CERT), and Citizen's Police Academy, as well as any other training deemed necessary.
