From an early age, I felt a calling to serve others, leading me to pursue a career in law enforcement. With nearly 20 years of experience, working for the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, I have served in various roles. These roles include detention deputy (maintaining safety and security of inmates within a jail setting), patrol deputy (enforcing criminal and traffic offenses throughout county),
traffic accident investigator (investigating serious injury and fatality accidents), criminal investigator (investigating criminal acts throughout county) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force Officer (investigating domestic and international drug trafficking organizations). I have been promoted through the ranks, currently serving as Captain of Uniform Patrol Division, and oversee the day-to-day operations of four shifts (deputies who answer calls for service), ten School Resource Officers (serving eight schools), and a specialized traffic unit. My supervision experience includes the Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, and Uniform Patrol Division. In my current capacity as a division commander, I manage a multi-million-dollar budget with an allotment of seventy-six personnel. I live in the Buckhead Community of Morgan County with my wife and two children. Our oldest child is a recent graduate of Morgan County High School and will be heading off to college this fall, while our youngest is currently attending MCHS. We are active members of Covenant Park Church and strive daily to put God first in all that we do. I am driven by a genuine desire to serve the community in which we live. My leadership, integrity, and experience make me uniquely qualified to serve the citizens of Morgan County. With a steadfast commitment to public safety, I aim to bring a fresh perspective and implement new strategies to address the evolving needs of our county.
