During the Board Study Session last month, students from Glacier Middle School shared what they were learning in science and led an activity called Recovering Copper. They distributed textbooks, notebooks, handouts, safety gear, and materials, then took the lead in guiding the groups through the activity, offering assistance and answering questions as they moved around. The board really enjoyed learning from the students and doing the activity!

The last day of school is on Monday, June 15th. This will be an early release day with no late start.

Last week, we were honored to recognize the White River Education Foundation as the recipient of the WASA Region 111 Community Leadership Award. Accepting the award on behalf of the dozens of dedicated volunteers who make this work possible were WREF President Monique Whiddon and Treasurer Matt Scheer.

Partnerships matter, and few partnerships have had a greater impact on our students than the incredible support of the White River Education Foundation.

From funding field trips and PSAT testing opportunities to providing scholarships, supporting leadership retreats, and creating unforgettable experiences such as student performances at Mariners games, the White River Education Foundation consistently goes above and beyond in service to our students and schools.

Thank you to the White River Education Foundation and the many volunteers whose dedication makes such a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
