Dear Residents,

During the July meeting, the city council voted to increase the rental rate for the community building from $100 ($75 rent + $25 cleaning deposit) to $125 ($75 rent + $50 cleaning deposit). Please note that bookings made prior to this decision will be honored at the previous rate.

This decision was made after exploring all options, as the building has unfortunately often been left in less than satisfactory condition.

Going forward, linens will no longer be provided. Additionally, when you pick up the key, you will be required to sign a checklist outlining the cleaning responsibilities. You will receive a copy of this form, and a copy is also posted on the wall inside the building.

We hope these changes will help ensure a clean facility for every renter.

The City of Bucklin would like to remind residents of several property maintenance requirements established by City ordinance to help keep our community clean and attractive.

Please remember:

✅ Grass and weeds must be maintained at 7 inches or less on your property and in the adjacent public right-of-way, including along sidewalks, streets, and unpaved alleys where applicable. (Ordinance No. 397 – General Nuisances, Section B.2.a & B.3.)

✅ Large growth of weeds or vegetation that creates a health, safety, or fire hazard is considered a public nuisance and must be removed. (Ordinance No. 397 – Section B.1.d.)

✅ Do not leave grass clippings, leaves, or other yard waste on streets, sidewalks, alleys, or other public rights-of-way. Depositing yard waste in these public areas is prohibited. (Ordinance No. 387 – Illegal Dumping, Section 1.)

Thank you to everyone who takes pride in maintaining their property and helping keep Bucklin clean, attractive, and welcoming for everyone.
