🥞🚒 BLFD Pancake Breakfast – You’re Invited! 🇺🇸

Join us on Saturday, July 5th from 8–11 AM for the annual BLFD Pancake Breakfast! Come out and support your local fire department while enjoying a delicious breakfast of fluffy pancakes and savory sausage. Bring your friends, bring your appetite—and don’t forget to check out our raffle for a chance to win some great prizes!

I want to thank Quincy Volunteer Fire Department Inc. for the excellent training they provided BLFD last month at their department training grounds. There were 4 or 5 departments represented at the training including 3 members from BLFD. The training was a 4-hour refresher course on patient extrication techniques and procedures. A big THANK YOU to QFD's trainers including Chief Carrey, Chief Schimdt, Capt. DuPont, and FF Lazzarino. I also want to especially thank Chief Carrey for his generous gift to BLFD of a working portable hydraulic pump and spreader that we can now use on incidents. We have already made room on our rescue squad for the new equipment! Thank you QFD!!

Thanks for your many years of service to our community. You are missed.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of longtime firefighter Charlie Read. Charlie was a volunteer firefighter for Quincy Fire and Greenhorn Creek Fire for many years and has taught countless members the ins and outs of pump operations. We appreciate his dedication to service in our community and our prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
