The Salvation Army of Bucyrus is holding the fourth annual Pretty Painted Pots. We are looking for creative groups, schools, and businesses to bring some Christmas magic and decorate our Red Kettles. There will be awards for most creative, best school, and an optional theme to be judged (Ugly Christmas Sweaters). Judging will take place at our Kettle Kick off this year November 13th at Bucyrus city hall, and the “People's Choice Award” will be awarded for the group that raises the most money on the kickoff day. All kettles will be used this year at venders and stores throughout the community. We provide the kettle, and you supply the materials to transform your kettle into a "Pretty Painted Pot." For more information or to participate this year call (419) 562-0071 or email Captain Jared [email protected]

🚨𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭🚨
In just two weeks our After School Learning Center will kick off its third year of tutoring students. We are so excited for the new spaces our students will get to experience! 📚✏️✂️🏫

Each day, with the help of volunteers, students will receive one on one tutoring geared towards helping the student grow in reading proficiency and other identified areas of need, as well as assisting with school assigned homework. This program serves students in First-Third grade at no cost to families. Our Learning Center staff and volunteers are truly incredible!

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Dave Lauthers, a cherished member of our advisory board. Dave was truly a beacon in our community who served with such grace and we are so blessed to have had our paths cross. We find comfort knowing that he is resting in the arms of Jesus. Please join us as we uplift his family and loved ones in prayer during this difficult time.

View David J. Lauthers's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.

What a beautiful celebration today as we dedicated our chapel to the Lord and his continued work in our community. It was so wonderful to share this special occasion with so many, and we are especially grateful to have Majors Grace in attendance, who had the vision that started this project into motion. We want to express our gratitude to so many in our community who have helped make this possible. We now look ahead to what God has in store with our continued renovations. If you missed it, don’t worry! Keep an eye out this week for some photos of our newly renovated spaces. We would love to have you join us on Sundays at 11am for worship, and you can pop by during office hours for a tour!

A special thank you to our wonderful SAWA who so graciously served today, for everyone who participated in the service, and to Randy Ivie for building us our beautiful cross.
