We trained Saturday morning at Knecht's Auto Recycling where we got the feel for our new battery-powered rescue tools. When some is trapped in their vehicle due to damage in a crash, these strong tools are used to cut the car open.

We responded to a one vehicle crash just after noon today on US 30. Two patients were transported, one by Bucyrus Fire, one by Life First Ambulance providing mutual aid.

We experienced poor behavior by other motorists while on this call. Apply these tips whenever you travel: Never pass an emergency vehicle that is responding with lights and siren, or arriving on scene. If allowed to pass the scene, go SLOWLY. Don't make our job more dangerous than it is.
