2x4s made from OSB!! They're going to keep making things cheaper and cheaper. It may hold up under load, but add fire and houses are going to be literal death traps for anyone inside.
They used to say occupants had about 17 minutes to escape. Now it's 3-4 with lightweight construction. I haven't seen these before but shave probably another minute. With today's fire loads fire are burning much hotter and faster.
Have to keep up to date on training. Maintain situational awareness. And firefighters have to realize the reality of what we are now facing.
