And that is officially a wrap on the 2025-2026 school year, Hays CISD family! We'd like to thank all of our students, educators, families and community for an amazing year of excellence. From all of us at Hays CISD, we hope everyone has a restful, exciting, fun and safe summer break!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are pleased to announce that Dahlstrom Middle School PTA received the President's Challenge Award from Texas PTA for hosting a meaningful family engagement event and increasing membership this school year! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Dahlstrom Middle School PTA held our first-ever Mustang Mash: Haunted House & Trunk or Treat on October 30th. Both DMS Mustang and feeder elementary school families attended our community event.

Local businesses and DMS programs (athletics, cheer, band, etc.) decorated booths or trunks and passed out candy. DMS PTA provided a fun photo op, Halloween-themed crafts, and games as part of the free trunk or treat. Vendors (cotton candy, snow cones, and custom hat bar) gave a portion of their proceeds back to DMS PTA.

And, of course, daring attendees paid a small admission fee to enter our circus-themed haunted house! It was a great family and community engagement program that doubled as a fundraiser."

Thank you to all of the parent, staff, and student volunteers who helped make Mustang Mash possible! And thank you to all of our DMS PTA members for their continued support!

Congratulations to our current VP of Fundraising (and former president) Tara Silvio!

Tara is Hays CISD Council of PTA's President-elect. We can't wait to see what she and her amazing board accomplish next school year!

Congratulations to the 2026-2027 Hays CISD Council of PTAs Board, who will officially hit the ground running this coming July 1st!

This incredible group of leaders from our campuses represent PTAs from every corner of Hays CISD - bringing together ideas, experience, and voices with a shared passion for supporting students, families, staff, and public education.

Together, these leaders represent some of the district’s largest and most engaged PTA communities, including Tobias, the largest elementary PTA in Hays CISD, and McCormick, the district’s largest middle school PTSA.

We are excited to see the collaboration this team will bring to our local PTAs to further impact Hays CISD students and families. 💙
