🚧 Work is officially beginning for the Junction Drive (FM 1626 and RM 967 Connector) project on Monday, May 18 by the Persimmon Development contractor.

This project is a next step in the Persimmon Development Agreement approved by Buda City Council in June 2024 and will improve connectivity and mobility in this growing area of Buda by creating a connection between RM 967 and FM 1626.

A few key details from the agreement:
• The full RM 967/FM 1626 connection must be completed before more than 325 homes can be occupied within the Persimmon development
• The project is funded through a Public Improvement District (PID), meaning no cost to the City of Buda or current residents
• Construction is taking place within the new development area, so impacts to existing roadways and residents should be minimal

The City of Buda invites you to an open house discussing updates to the City’s Drainage Master Plan. Your input will help shape the future of drainage and flood protection in Buda.

This effort uses the latest rainfall data to better understand local flood risks and identify where future improvements are most needed. Working with engineering consultants, the City is reviewing existing drainage infrastructure, mapping known flooding areas, and refining flood models to guide smart, long-term investments.

These updates will help prioritize projects that reduce flood risk and better protect homes, roads, and businesses across Buda.

The City is implementing temporary "No Parking Zones" during Buda's Birthday Music Festival on Sat., April 11. Please adhere to the signage in these areas, as towing may be enforced in accordance with the City's ordinance 2023-19.
