Mount Olive Township Announces 2026 Road Resurfacing Program

[Special Project Title] will begin on [Date], located at [Location]. Mount Olive Township is pleased to announce the start of its 2026 Road Resurfacing Program, a major infrastructure investment designed to improve roadway conditions, enhance safety, and extend the useful life of Township roads.
Milling operations are scheduled to begin on or around June 22, 2026, with paving activities anticipated to begin on or around June 30, 2026, weather permitting. Residents should be aware that paving schedules may be adjusted due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
The 2026 Road Resurfacing Program includes the following roadways:
· Delbar Drive
· Pershing Avenue
· Summit Avenue
· Carson Road
· Stanley Place
· Washington Street
· Sunset Drive

· Connelly Avenue
· Crestwood Circle
· Rolling Hills Drive
· Tall Oaks Lane
· Tanglewood Way
· Starr Street

· Corey Road
· Schoolhouse Lane
· Patlyn Road
· Joycinda Road

· Crenshaw Drive (portion)
· Snead Court
· Trevino Road
· Hogan Court
· Palmer Court
· Watson Way

· In addition, Kennedy Drive, Glenside Drive and a portion of Sand Shore Road will be paved in a second phase after a water main extension project is completed.
This year's program represents one of the largest annual roadway investments in Township history. The Township increased its annual road resurfacing budget to $2 million, approximately double the funding level of previous years. This significant investment reflects the Township's commitment to maintaining critical infrastructure and addressing roadway needs throughout the community.
During milling and paving operations, on-street parking will be prohibited on affected roadways, and vehicle access may be temporarily limited or delayed. Residents living on project streets are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and make alternate parking arrangements when necessary.
To ensure the project can be completed efficiently and safely, residents are asked to:
Remove all vehicles from the roadway during posted construction periods.
Follow all temporary traffic control signs and directions from construction personnel.
Anticipate delays and allow additional travel time.
Avoid unnecessary travel on affected roadways during active construction operations.
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times; however, temporary disruptions to normal traffic patterns should be expected.
The Township appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents during construction and looks forward to delivering these important roadway improvements. Additional project updates will be provided through the Township website, social media channels, and other communication platforms as construction progresses.
