Invitation to Buena Vista City Public Schools Students and Families

The City of Buena Vista and Glen Maury Park invite all students and families in the Buena Vista City Public Schools community to experience the VA250 Mobile Museum, a free, hands-on, interactive museum that brings Virginia's history to life through immersive exhibits and engaging educational experiences. The museum is designed for visitors of all ages and offers a unique opportunity to explore the stories, people, and events that helped shape the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The VA250 Mobile Museum will be at Camden Field during Buena Vista's Labor Day festivities on September 6 and September 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.
We encourage students and their families to take advantage of this exciting educational opportunity and discover Virginia's rich history through this traveling museum experience right here in Buena Vista.

School is out but summer meals are in!

Buena Vista City Public Schools will be providing free meals to all children in the community, ages 1 – 18, during the summer. Children do not have to attend any Buena Vista City School to be eligible for meals.

June 1st – June 25th (Mondays – Thursdays) a hot breakfast and lunch will be offered daily at Enderly Heights Elementary School. Children must remain onsite while consuming their meal.

Meals for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays may be picked up on Thursdays.

Breakfast 8:30 – 9:00 am
Lunch 12:00 – 12:30 pm

June 29th – July 27th (Mondays only) 7-day meal kits may be picked up at Enderly Heights Elementary School from 11:30 – 12:30.

Tuesday, May 19th will be the last day of school for PMMS and PMHS. Students will be dismissed at normal time.

Thursday, May 21st will be the last day of school for Enderly and Kling Elementary. Students will be released at 1:00pm. PK students will be dimissed at 12:30pm.
