A big THANK YOU to our awesome community for all the support and fun this weekend. We can not be successful without your support that we continually receive. We had a great Firemans Dance this year and would like to thank all who attended and had a great evening with us!

Get on down to the fire department for the 2026 Firemens Dance! Bands are setup and ready to rock all night and the firemen are excited to get everyone out to hang out tonight!

Due to the cooler temps tonight and much warmer temps tomorrow we have decided to move the kids waterball from tonight to tomorrow from 1:00-3:00. We will do it in the same location on 2nd Street NE, west of the pool. We look forward to having all the kids have some water fun during the heat! North Iowa Betterment

Late post, but still wanted to share. Back in May the Buffalo Center Fire Department partnered up with Rake Fire to do a joint Fire training. We practiced some advanced water relay tactics and cross trained on the other departments pumper. We finished with a small control burn to learn about fire behavior and put to use the tactics learned earlier in the evening.

It's always great to learn and grow but even better to learn with other departments to get other perspectives. Thanks for the training location and for joining us Rake Fire!

We’re excited to share that fireworks are still planned for approximately 9:30 pm on Saturday, July 4th, weather permitting!

This year’s program will look a little different at the start, as North Iowa Betterment did not receive volunteers for the national anthem or prayer. When you hear the first salute, a loud boom, that will be your cue that we’ll be getting underway shortly after.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with everyone, see you there!

The Buffalo Center Fire Department's Annual Pancake Breakfast is coming up on Saturday, April 4th from 10:30-12:30 at the Heritage Town Center. We will be serving pancakes, sausages, and our crowd favorite; biscuits and gravy!

Take-outs will be available upon request.

The breakfast will be free will donation with all proceeds going towards 4th of July fireworks in Buffalo Center. We ask that all checks be made out to Friends of the Firemen. As always, thank you for you continued support and we look forward to seeing everyone!
