Sometimes the smallest victories make the biggest difference. It's a small win, but it's a WIN!
For many years, community residents entering the basketball courts from our parking lot, did so without a railing. It has always been an important safety feature to us, but we just went without.
Today... that all changed.
Because our good friends at Wegmans saw the need too, they brought a welding company, Don's Welding Service, to the Resource Council. After generously donating their time, talent, and craftsmanship, our community now has a secure railing for youth, adults, and seniors to use every day as they enter Perkins Park! We are overjoyed.
THIS is what community looks like. People paying attention, partners stepping up, and hearts coming together to make life better for others. It may have taken us five years, but today, we celebrate a win that will serve generations to come!
We are deeply grateful to Sandy, Pat and Josiah at Wegmans, and Don's Welding Service, for believing in our mission. Small win? Maybe. Meaningful win? You better believe it! We will not stop when it comes to improving our community!
