Designed to assist current college students, the Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program (BDCP) not only helps you pay for your degree, books, rent and food but also provides full-time Officer pay and benefits while in college and a guaranteed job upon graduation.

What Are The BDCP’s Application Requirements?

The BDCP welcomes a wide range of applicants from civilians to enlisted Navy Reserve Sailors and those inactive in other branches. To apply, you must:

Be at least 19 years old
Be enrolled or accepted at a four-year accredited college or university with no NROTC Program
Be a full-time student
Have completed 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours
Maintain at least a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Meet the Navy’s physical requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible to become a Navy Chaplain, you must:
• Be a U.S. citizen at least 21 years of age and be able to complete at least 20 years of service before age 62. (Age waivers are authorized on a case by case basis)
• Meet certain medical and physical fitness standards
• Hold a BA or BS degree with not less than 120 semester hours from a qualified educational institution; and hold a post-baccalaureate graduate degree with not less than 72 semester hours in theological or related studies
• Hold an ecclesiastical endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense (DOD)

Thank you so much to Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists for sharing my story. Thank you to everyone that has supported me in this journey. Special shout-out out to my family Rita Leggette Ferguson Eustace Ferguson Eric H. Ferguson. They have been there every step of the way.
