I may have been out of commission but I’ve still been working!
When I decided to compete to become Miss Buffalo, I knew that joining the Miss America Organization would afford me amazing opportunities to further my education while helping my community.
I am so excited to have started & completed the first week of classes for my Executive PhD in Public Policy, at an HBCU of course!
Southern University was birthed when a group of black politicians petitioned the State Constitutional Convention to establish an institution of higher learning for “colored people.”
Almost 150 years later, I am honored to be a part of this illustrious group of Black thinkers and leaders.
Historically Black Colleges are the pinnacle of education for Black students and I will always advocate for them! I am so blessed to be finishing my academic pursuits the same way I started—with people who look like me! ❤️🖤💚
After Miss Buffalo, get ready for Dr. King 😆💪🏽
*that Howard picture is circa 2015 btw*

Just my luck to have left my glue at home, but thank God for the lovely staff at Prestige Beauty. I ran into the store in a fit and they gave me everything I needed to get to my event on time for FREE!
They truly saved my day, gotta shout them out 😂🙌🏽
