Banned Books Week asks: what happens when a story is removed from a shelf? Rashad Robinson works on the harder follow-up question: Who had the power to remove it, and how do you take that power back?

Robinson led civil rights organization Color Of Change for nearly fourteen years and now co-chairs the steering committee of the Committee for the First Amendment, first formed in 1947 to defend free expression.

His new book From Presence to Power is a national bestseller built on a hard distinction that being seen is not the same as having leverage.
