A huge thank you to the Good Neighbors Getting it Done in Western New York team for dropping off a generous donation of valuable supplies for our community! 👏

These items will be available to individuals and families accessing services at our Buffalo & Erie County Public Library - Central Library location (1 Lafayette Square, Buffalo, NY 14203) and during our street outreach efforts.

We are so grateful for community partners like Good Neighbors who continue to show up and support our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Our brand-new series premieres with Katey Soellers, our Quality Assurance Coordinator, who plays an integral role in how data is collected, tracked and presented not just throughout Western New York, but as part of a system used across the entire nation. 👀

From how she got her start, to why she wanted to make a difference through her work, to what HMIS is and why it matters, Katey gives us our first look at the work happening behind the scenes to support our community.

Last month, we were proud to represent Western New York at the National Alliance to End Homelessness annual Conference and Capitol Hill Day in Washington, D.C. 🫡

Members of our team joined advocates from across the country to meet with members of Congress, share the challenges facing our region, and advocate for the resources needed to strengthen local homelessness response efforts.

We also made sure Western New York's voice extended beyond our own team by helping 13 local organizations, representing 20 staff members, attend the conference to make sure as many local voices as possible had a seat at the table. 🤝

Together, we learned from national experts, built new partnerships, and brought back ideas that will help strengthen our work right here in WNY.

We’re looking for firms to evaluate WNY’s Coordinated Entry System and strengthen how people experiencing homelessness connect to housing.

Through community engagement, data analysis, and system evaluation, this project will help identify what's working, where barriers exist, and how we can continue improving our community's homeless response system.
