South Buffalo Community Table

South Buffalo Community Table For over 30 years, the South Buffalo Community Table has been serving meals and fellowship to the hungry and less fortunate members of our community.

Located at the side entrance of Good Shepherd Community of Faith Church, the South Buffalo Community Table provides over 17,000 hot meals a year for those in our community who need it most. We serve Mondays thru Thursdays from 4 - 5 pm. One meal is provided each of those days. Meals are on a take out basis. Masks and social distancing is required. Donations are accepted Monday thru Thursday from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm.

The last farmers market of the season at Caz park is September 27th. There will be a raffle of an autographed and framed Patrick Kane Jersey that day. Tickets are going to be $5.00 with proceeds going to the South Buffalo Community Table.
Additionally food will be collected and anyone donatIng food or money will have their name entered into a drawing for a basket of items.

Thanks to everyone who donated canned goods to the Community Table. Sister Kristen said the storage area for those is full. She is now looking for macaroni & cheese, broths, soups including creamed soups, wide & extra wide noodles. They can be dropped at the Table 187 Southside Parkway Mondays-Thursdays 9:30-1:00. Ring the bell & someone will meet you at the door. Our community is so generous to those in need!

Meal service week of June 14: Tuesday June 16 & Thursday June 18 4-5 pm. Next week, the South Buffalo Community Table will be closed Tuesday June 23, 2020.

We will be open for meal service Monday, June 22, 2020 and Thursday June 25, 2020 from 4 pm to 5 pm.

The regular schedule will resume Tuesday, June 30, 2020. At that time, service will continue to be only Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 pm to 5 pm on take out only basis. Each day two meals will be served (one for that day & one for the next).

Today I stopped by the South Buffalo Community Table to provide masks for their volunteers. The Table resumed meal service this week. For the time being, meals will be served Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 pm to 5 pm on take out only basis. Each day, two meals will be served (one for that day, one for the next).

We are so grateful for the selfless volunteers who provide this invaluable service to our community. Please consider making a non perishable or monetary donation at this weekend’s food drive. Details in the flyer posted below.

Even though we couldn't physically be out in the neighborhood this year, your donations from our Day of Caring Campaign allowed us to still support our community as we have for over 70 years.

In keeping with our service to community Principal Dr. Newton, Director of Admissions, Mr. Graham `10, Jake Reid `20, Sean Gavin `21, Sean McCarthy `21, Tommy English `20, Luke McMahon `20 & Director of Advancement, Mrs. Elis, delivered sweets to the amazing nursing staff at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo

A big thank you to Tom McDonnell `86, Laney Wesser & Brittany Gettings from Dog Ears Bookstore & Cafe for making these scrumptious sweets! The nurses were so excited, you are one of their favorite places!

Located at the side entrance of Good Shepherd Community of Faith Church, Sister Kristen Schmitz and Sister M. Celeste O'Bryan’s South Buffalo Community Table provide over 17,000 hot meals a year for those in our community who need it most. SBCT serves Sunday through Thursday, 4 pm - 5 pm.

We are able to accept donations from 10 am to 4 pm Sunday thru Thursday. If you need a different delivery time, call Cathy at 716 863-2654.

Hard to believe - we need Jello! We need 6 of one kind per donation. Our guests love Sister Kristen's Jello salad!
We will be closed for Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7. We will also be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22 so that we can cook a delicious feast for Thanksgiving on the 23rd.
It is very inconvenient that my girlfriend and I walked nearly two and a half miles to find out that you guys were closed when your page said that you were open, and then had to walk nearly two and a half miles back home, mind you, it's not exactly cool outside. The least you guys could have done was put something on your page or the door that indicated that you're not open today. That is very frustrating. Imagine if you guys had to deal with that. How would that make you feel?
