ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HOSTED THE “GIVING BAZAAR”

Students were able to pick out gifts for their mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters. The gifts were free, in the spirit of the season. The Alumni Room was filled with good will, happy smiles, refreshments, and elves helping with the wrapping. This is the spirit of the Bennett Family.

Thanks to Tara Maj and Neil Lange for making the Giving Bazaar happen, and to all the members of the Alumni Association for providing the funds to help our kids.

Our Tigers gave us an incredible season, reaching the Class AA state semifinal before falling to Christian Brothers Academy 34–14. Even with the loss, this team showed heart, talent, and the true Bennett spirit from start to finish. They played with pride all year long, and their hard work brought our entire alumni community together.
We can all be proud of what they accomplished and excited about the future of Bennett football. A heartfelt thank-you to the coaches, families, supporters, and everyone who showed up, cheered, donated, or encouraged these young men along the way. Your support made a difference.
Congratulations to the entire Bennett Tigers family on a remarkable season.

The Bennett Tigers are on the road to NYS football glory.
After an incredible win over Penfield in the Far West Regional Championship, our Tigers now advance to the New York State Football Championship game. They will face Christian Brothers Academy on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The game will be played at Cicero–North Syracuse Stadium, 6002 State Route 31 in Cicero, New York.
Tickets follow the Section VI cashless policy and can be purchased through the GoFan system. Streaming options will be posted as soon as they become available on the MaxPreps game page.
Let’s rally behind our Tigers as they make their run for the state title in this historic 100th anniversary year. Go Bennett!

Tigers Win!

Lewis J. Bennett High School defeated Penfield 26-14 in the NYSPHSAA Class AA quarterfinal (Far West Regional) on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The game was played at Robert C. Rich All High Stadium in Buffalo.
The Game: Bennett took control when Carl Barnes connected with Dontre Hampton on an 88-yard touchdown pass to give the Tigers a lead they never surrendered. Jimmy Valentine scored from two yards out, and after a successful 2-point conversion, Bennett led 20-7 with 4:11 remaining in the third quarter.
Penfield made it close late in the game when quarterback Dominic Giunta scored on a one-yard keeper with 3:29 remaining, cutting Bennett's lead to 20-14. However, Valentine sealed the victory with a 19-yard touchdown run with 1:37 left, making the final score 26-14.
What's Next: Bennett (10-1) will play Christian Brothers Academy from Section III next Saturday in the NYSPHSAA Class AA semifinals at 6 p.m. at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.
This continues Bennett's strong playoff tradition - they're making their fourth regional appearance in five years and won the Class AA state championship in 2022!

TIGERS ARE WINNERS!

The Bennett Tigers captured the Section VI Class AA crown with a decisive 32-14 win over Jamestown at Highmark Stadium. Their offense clicked with a mix of balanced running and efficient passing, while the defense stood tall—forcing turnovers and stifling Jamestown’s aerial attack.

For alumni, this victory signals the continuation of the legacy of the program and offers plenty to celebrate. Seeing the Tigers back on top at the sectional level is a reminder of the tradition and pride you helped build.

Bennett heads into the Section VI Class AA championship against Jamestown with a proud, battle-tested legacy, having reached nine finals in the past decade and winning the state title in 2022. Coach Steve McDuffie’s Tigers know the magnitude of this final game at Highmark Stadium and bring their trademark toughness and identity to the field. While Jamestown leans heavily on its star running back and strong ground game, their coach admits Bennett is a great team that “does a lot of things well.” As Bennett fans, we can feel confident: this is a program built on hard work, tradition, and big-moment experience, and they’re ready to show it one more time under the Highmark lights.
