BPPN - Buffalo Home Visiting Program

BPPN - Buffalo Home Visiting Program The Buffalo Home Visiting Program provides comprehensive home based services to families for 3 to 5 years after a child is born.

Its single goal is to help parents meet the challenges of parenting in order to assure healthy development for their children. The Buffalo Home Visiting Program:

- Ensures that families' basic needs are met (help is given to families who need services from food pantries, public assistance, WIC, housing assistance, etc.).

- Provides families with a family support worker who will visit them in the

ir home once a week to provide educational information and resources.

- Promotes positive parent child interactions by educating families on child development and by providing activities to help them enhance their child's growth and development.

- Strengthens the family support system by linking them to appropriate programs and agencies.

- Empowers and educates families to enable self-advocacy.
