Erie County's state of emergency on Covid-19 set to expire Saturday
No pandemic-related mandates are still in effect in Erie County, the first time since before the pandemic began in March 2020, Poloncarz said.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz: "With the dramatic drop in new COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and need for PPE, and Erie County now being in the "Low" CDC risk category for COVID transmission, the county's state of emergency will end effective noon tomorrow. The county will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing and vaccine clinics, as well as PPE, to the public. For some, especially immunocompromised and unvaccinated, the risk of serious illness still exists. Thanks to all for your efforts and sacrifice."
