Buffalo Volunteer Fire Company is extremely grateful to once again be selected as a recipient of the V-SAFE Grant. This marks our fourth consecutive year receiving this support, and we couldn’t be more appreciative.

This grant continues to play a major role in helping us improve our equipment, strengthen our capabilities, and better serve our community. With this continued support, we are able to keep investing back into our fire department and making it stronger and better for the community we proudly serve.

Each year, it allows us to build on the progress we’ve made and keep moving forward as a department.

We thank everyone involved in making this possible and for continuing to invest in the volunteer fire service. Your support truly makes a difference in what we are able to do for our community.

Two of your Buffalo volunteers recently had the opportunity to attend the 7th Annual Southern End Squad School, hosted at the Trinity Fire Department. Grit Fire Training LLC hosted its very own Search confidence. This year’s training placed a strong emphasis on search operations, sharpening critical skills that are vital on the fire-ground.

Proud of these members for taking the initiative to better themselves and bring that knowledge back to our department. Opportunities like this not only strengthen individual skill sets but also make our entire team stronger and more prepared to serve our community.

Over the weekend, the Buffalo Volunteers successfully completed their yearly daytime live burn training, concentrating on a wide range of essential fireground skills. The evolutions emphasized coordination, decision-making, and firefighter safety while operating in live-fire environments. The training allowed our volunteers to sharpen hands-on skills, reinforce fundamentals, and build confidence that directly carries over to real-world emergency responses.

We would also like to give a huge shoutout and sincere thank you to Joye and Kenny at Sanders Garden Center for their generous donation of straw that allowed us to drill and train effectively. Your continued support of our department and first responders does not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate you helping make this training possible.
