EMS Week is the perfect time to celebrate the people shaping the future of emergency medical services. Today, we’re proud to recognize Kari Smistek. She is honored with our EMS Educator Excellence award!

Kari’s AMR journey began as an EMT student in our "Earn While You Learn" program, and her passion for education quickly became impossible to miss. From mentoring future EMTs as a Field Training Officer to earning her paramedic and CIC certifications, Kari has continuously invested in the next generation of EMS professionals.

Her impact is felt far beyond the classroom. Because of educators like Kari, the future of EMS is in incredibly capable and professional hands.
