Belmont Housing Resources for WNY would like to share some community resources that may help families obtain the supplies their children need for the upcoming school year.

This is not an exhaustive list—it includes the opportunities we are currently aware of. You can also call 211 or visit 211wny.org to find additional resources in your area.

Today, we honor the courage and determination of the women who fought for the right to vote and recognize the continued work needed to achieve equality in every area of life.

We also proudly recognize the women whose leadership helped establish Belmont Housing Resources for WNY, including Liz Huckabone, as well as the women who currently serve on and lead our Board of Directors, including Dr. Kelly Peterson. Their vision, commitment, and service have strengthened our organization and helped advance our mission throughout Western New York.

At Belmont, we believe equality includes access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. Secure housing provides a foundation for financial stability, stronger families, and greater opportunities for women and their communities.

Together, we continue working toward a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

We were pleased to welcome Jacob Tierney of Buffalo Business First and Michael Anthony of M&T Bank to 875 Lafayette for a tour and conversation about the partnerships and financing that make affordable housing developments possible.

Thank you to M&T Bank and its tax credit investment team for their commitment to this project. We look forward to welcoming residents to their new homes very soon!
