Did You Know?

When Buffalo Central Terminal opened in 1929, it was one of the largest train stations in the country. The soaring office tower rises 17 stories above the city and was designed to symbolize Buffalo's importance as a transportation hub.

At its peak, thousands of passengers passed through the station every day, connecting Buffalo to destinations across the United States.

Today, thanks to decades of preservation efforts and community support, Buffalo Central Terminal continues its journey toward a new future while honoring its remarkable past.

🎒 What a great day at the Central Terminal!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Backpack Giveaway and helped make it such a fun morning for
Broadway Fillmore families. From backpacks and school supplies to face painting, ice cream, and plenty of smiles, it was the perfect way to kick off the back-to-school season.

A special thank you to Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski and Erie County Legislator Lawrence Dupre for bringing this event to the community. And thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

🎒 TOMORROW: Backpacks, school supplies & family fun at the Central Terminal!

Our annual Backpack Giveaway is BACK! Join us THIS SATURDAY, August 8 at 10 AM at the Buffalo Central Terminal for a fun-filled morning featuring free school supplies, face painting, ice cream, and more family fun.

Backpacks and supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last — so be sure to arrive early!

This event is brought to you by Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski and Erie County Legislator Lawrence Dupre.
