***UPDATE: Tonight's curfew now applies COUNTYWIDE, 8 PM until 5 AM tomorrow. Essential workers can travel during these hours, but should have proof of employment (ID, etc.). Buffalo's curfew still runs through the weekend.***

I just finished a conference call with local supervisors and mayors. Based on law enforcement assistance that suburban and rural towns are providing to Buffalo and other areas, we have all agreed the curfew for tonight from 8 pm through 5 am tomorrow will be a COUNTYWIDE curfew.

Essential workers can travel during curfew hours but should have proof of employment (ID, etc.).

Tomorrow 5/19, we are starting our #COVID19 antibody testing program. Key points:

- Requires a blood draw from the arm

- Appointments required; first-come, first-serve

- Offered to Erie County residents ages 11 and older

- No cost

This is different than the #COVID19 diagnostic test. Antibody tests indicate past exposure to a disease. A positive test does not necessarily mean you are immune to future infection.

Continue social distancing, wear a mask when you could be near other people, wash your hands with soap and water often, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and minimize the time you spend in public spaces, especially if you are elderly or have a chronic disease.

Only individuals who have a scheduled appointment and their parent or guardian, if under 18 years old, will be allowed into the testing area. Anyone entering the testing site will be required to wear a cloth face covering or other appropriate mask.

Results mailed within 7-10 days.

We encourage people to speak to their health care provider about their results. Parents should discuss with their child’s pediatrician if they are interested in their child under 11 years getting tested for COVID-19 antibodies.

Diagnostic tests are available at this time for individuals who believe they may have been exposed to #COVID19 or if you feel you are at risk. Call (716) 858-2929 to schedule diagnostic or antibody tests.
