Today, my administration — in partnership with the Buffalo Police Department and the Foot Patrol Integration Unit — announced that we are hosting a Food Donation Drive on Saturday, November 8, 2025 to support FeedMore WNY.

With the growing strain on food programs caused by the ongoing federal shutdown, we want to make it as easy as possible for residents to step up and support one another.

This drive is another example of our city coming together to help neighbors in need and support the vital work of FeedMore WNY.

The Buffalo Police Department needs the public's help in locating 64-year-old Michael Hallman, who is missing. Michael is a white male, approximately 6'1, and 210lbs.

He has short gray hair, a beard, and blue eyes. Last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, a blue plaid button-up shirt, blue pants, and a dark red hat that says "Semper Fi."

The Buffalo Police Department needs the public's help in locating missing 52-year-old male Hushane Betts, a black male approximately 5'10", 145 pounds, with black and gray hair and brown eyes.

May be in the Lower West Side area.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

I was honored to join the Buffalo Police Department in celebrating the promotion of eleven dedicated officers to the ranks of detective, lieutenant, and captain. Their leadership, professionalism, and commitment to public safety continue to strengthen our city and deepen the bond between our officers and the communities they serve.

Congratulations to all of our newly promoted officers, and thank you to their families for the support and sacrifices that make their service possible.

Today, family, friends, and colleagues of Lieutenant Craig Lehner gathered at Buffalo Police Headquarters for their annual scholarship ceremony.

The event celebrates Lieutenant Lehner’s enduring legacy and honors his life by awarding a scholarship to an outstanding student from a WNY high school.

This year’s recipient is Nola Marrero of Mount Mercy Academy.
