We commemorate our most cherished memories in many ways- one of the most enduring is through photographs. Who doesn't remember looking through the family photo album, recalling the beautiful moments captured by the camera lens?

Fittingly, September is the month we celebrate National Grandparents Day. We are honored to be sponsored by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association as we host "Our Family's Story" on September 11th and September 18th. Honor and celebrate the special familial bond between grandparents and grandchildren through photographs, crafts, and more!

On Saturday, September 11th from 1-3 PM, we will hold a special Storytime, then decorate picture frames and scrapbooks. Bring your family photos, or take some candid shots with our fun instant cameras! You can also sign up for a professional family portrait for grandparents and grandchildren with our photographer on Saturday, September 18th from 1-3 PM.

Sign-ups are REQUIRED for both events; you can attend one, either, or both. Please call us at 716-896-4433 and or email [email protected]. Provide your name, email/phone and number of grandparents/grandkids attending (limit 8 per family). These events are FREE and appropriate for all ages!

Local author announces release of new novel. "Mollie's Follies" is about young, beautiful Mary Lynn Sharp, aka Mollie. Abandoned by family, this fifteen-year-old is on the run. Reviving from a two-week coma, Mollie's first thought is of the last conversation she overheard, where paramedics are discussing which Missouri hospital, Branson or Springfield, is best equipped to treat her horrific injures. A great summer read, "Mollie's Follies," provides fast-paced action, swift-changing story-lines, and thought-provoking perspectives. https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/bookshelf https://www.amazon.com/author/bonnie.mill-lemke
