It's back again! Do you need help putting a resume together - or, if you've got one, polishing it up? Well, you're in luck. The Leroy R. Coles, Jr. Branch Library is hosting two free Resume Workshops on Saturday, May 15th! As part of these workshops, the Library's Technology Clerk, Ryan, will show you how to create a professional resume using free templates in Microsoft Word. Once you've got the resume built, we'll show you how to save it and send it wherever it needs to go.

Space is limited due to physical distancing requirements - only 4 spaces per hour-long workshop are available. To book a time slot, please call the Coles Branch Library at (716) 896-4433. We look forward to seeing you and helping you toward getting your next job!

Happy Earth Day 2021! Stop by today to pick up a free crafting bag to make your own glittery Earth mobile. Here's how you'll make it:

1. Grab the paper plate and draw an outline of the continents on it. Have fun with it- make it abstract, or try to recreate it from memory.

2. With liquid glue, fill in the countries. Grab the green glitter and pour it over the glue. Gently pat it down and let it dry. This will take about 10 minutes.

3. Fill in the glue around the continents and cover it in blue glitter to make the oceans. Let it dry for 10 minutes.

4. Punch a hole in the top of the plate (a pencil works well) and loop the wire through it. Tie at the top to make the plate into a mobile. You're done!

Local author announces release of new novel. "Mollie's Follies" is about young, beautiful Mary Lynn Sharp, aka Mollie. Abandoned by family, this fifteen-year-old is on the run. Reviving from a two-week coma, Mollie's first thought is of the last conversation she overheard, where paramedics are discussing which Missouri hospital, Branson or Springfield, is best equipped to treat her horrific injures. A great summer read, "Mollie's Follies," provides fast-paced action, swift-changing story-lines, and thought-provoking perspectives. https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/bookshelf https://www.amazon.com/author/bonnie.mill-lemke
